Pompeiis of the Pacific: the archaeology of volcanic disasters in PNG  
Archaeologist Dr Robin Torrence asks what lessons can be learnt from ancient people in PNG about natural disasters and extreme environmental events? Inter-disciplinary research on New Britain Island has identified at least 14 major volcanic eruptions over 40,000 years ago. Robin talks about her archaeological research project.
